Instructions for installing the HonestMetrics system code via Google tag manager.
There are 3 methods of implementing our analytics feature (the part where we only screen your traffic) to your website:
- Implement the code snippet directly in the code of your website (in the ‹head› section)
- Use a 3rd party plugin for your favorite CMS (Such as Wordpress)
- Using Google Tag Manager
The following guide will demonstrate how you can use Google Tag Manager to implement our code on your website.
Google Tag Manager (hereinafter GTM) is a free tool allowing you to manage and distribute marketing tags (snippets of code or tracking pixels) on your website (or mobile app) without having to modify the code. For more info about install
Log into GTM (skip Step 2), or create a new account.
Step 2 (optional):
Create an account in GTM by clicking on the link https://tagmanager.google.com
Next, indicate the name of the company or the domain of the website.
Install the generated GTM code on your website, for example:
Step 3: Create a new tag
The mandatory html Honest Metrics security code must be inserted into the tag configuration.
You can copy it in your personal account.
Next, select Tag configuration -> Custom HTML and paste the code snippet from your Honest Metrics account in the HTML box.
- Next, you need to configure the trigger during which this code will be loaded. Select: Triggers -> All pages -> View page.
After saving the changes, the code will be successfully installed on your site.
